I am a Portsmouth based photographer who indulges in many genres of photography and enjoys producing research-based work, as well as producing freelance or commissioned work. I am currently studying MA Photography at the University of Portsmouth and I am actively volunteering alongside the social enterprise Seekers Create.

As a practitioner, I find myself fascinated with documenting traces of life, death, the journey of the trace, and how it manifests within our everyday lives. The landscape is a recurring subject throughout my practice, seeing as it is often rich with notions of the trace, as well as being profusely embedded with personal trauma and memory. I take psychological and physical trauma (of the human mind and body) and translate them into external beings as a method of phototherapy, an external visualisation of the conflict within. Often, notions of stability and recovery and constructs of the ‘self’ and ‘place’ are explored throughout my work, particularly how these ideals have been ruptured through past trauma. My photographs often lack the physical human presence, which is alternatively replaced and embraced with signs and signifiers of existence.
